@everyday_home_repairs: Product links are listed on our Facebook Page. (Everyday Home Repairs) . SharkBite fittings are one of the easiest ways to connect plumbing pipes — no soldering, no glue, and no crimp tools required. They work with PEX, CPVC, and copper, making them extremely versatile for home plumbing repairs. Inside the fitting are two key components that make the system work. First, stainless steel teeth grab the pipe and hold it securely in place. Second, an O-ring seal creates the watertight connection around the pipe. When installing, you’ll feel resistance twice. The first stop is the stainless teeth. The second stop is the O-ring. You must push the pipe fully past both points until it seats completely. Many leaks happen when the pipe stops early and only presses against the O-ring instead of fully engaging the fitting. Preparing the pipe properly is also critical. Burrs or rough edges can damage the O-ring, so using a deburring and depth-marking tool helps ensure a clean, secure installation. SharkBite also offers a wide range of valves, tees, and adapters that connect to other plumbing systems like PEX. #Plumbing #DIYPlumbing #HomeRepair sharkbite fittings, push to connect plumbing, sharkbite plumbing explained, how sharkbite works, sharkbite leak fix, sharkbite installation tips, pex plumbing, cpvc plumbing, copper pipe repair, diy plumbing repair, plumbing fittings explained, sharkbite valve installation, push fit plumbing

Bubble Buddy🫧 :
Had one on an inside patio wall that was a shark bite valve for my outdoor garden hose. After 4 years it disconnected on its own, gasket was separated from the seal, thank God it was on the closed side.
