In case anyone is wondering - In England and Wales a parent can legally leave their entire estate to their grandchildren and nothing to their own adult child because the law allows “testamentary freedom.” However, the adult child may still try to challenge the will under the inheritance Act 1975 asking the court for “reasonable financial provision.” That said, courts usually only award money if the adult child is financially dependent on their parent, struggling or has special needs. Therefore, if they are financially independent it is unlikely that the court will side with her.

make sure in your updated will you put no contest and self-proving clauses, acknowledging you are of sound mind and not under coercion, as well as family members you wish not to receive anything. makes litigation very difficult.
