No but it makes sense because Lwaxana is speaking in the Betazoid language and we’re hearing it through the Universal Translator, so it makes her sound American, but Deanna is speaking English with a Betazoid accent! But when Deanna speaks Betazoid, she has an Earth accent like her dad.

Oh, that's interesting bc being German and so growing up with both British and American television, I always felt like Deanna had a dash of British in her accent. Nothing that I would be able to place - but then, again, being German, I wouldn't be able to place most British accents except for the broad region of England/Scotland/... -, but she never sounded American to me, not even in the end. 🤔 (But for the accent I would've thought... Well, her father is human and her mum a diplomat who's traveling a lot, so her Betazed accent might have been watered down over the decades, but we know Deanna also served on Betazed, so she might have actually had more contact to her peers and learned her accent from them. It's not uncommon for kids to have somewhat different accents than their parents, influenced by their groups of friends.)

It's a shame they didn't get her to guest on Whats We Do In The Shadows. She and Natasia Demetriou have a similar background and they had plenty of other genre guests on like Mark Hamill.
