As if the poverty is not enough, they'll use chores and finish you. You'll start cooking at as early as 8 yrs old. Growing up at point, I began thinking it was my duty to keep the house organized, cook etc. I have just 2 and I pamper them silly, I might not be super rich but I know my job, so does their father, my daughter is 9 and the only chore she does is bath herself. I'm still struggling with my own trauma but I swear it ends with me.

My parents didn’t do it for me but am doing it for my kids. My kids are called over pampered children in school. Omo we the pay school fees before school resumes. I don’t have much ooo but my kids will never suffer

its is also interesting how society has manipulated children into thinking that demanding accountability and responsibility from their parents is actually a sign of immaturity or failure on the path of the child. i understand i don't need to expect anything from my parents right now but i also acknowledge that they have failed to an extent. people will be like you are ungrateful but that is not it. Building a two bedroom house alone is not enough. it takes more than that to build children with solid foundations

I have so low self esteem as a result of growing in poverty, worst part is i am a manager at some company so I always struggle addressing people in meetings. I've prayed over it but nothing is working
