@hicarsondogss: ADOPTED 🤍 Tyra came into our shelter back in January. She was adopted, but returned just days later because she was showing separation anxiety. The adopter said they couldn’t handle it …but they didn’t give her time to settle in 😢 This is one of the most common things we hear when dogs are returned after adoption or foster …separation anxiety. But for many shelter dogs, it’s not surprising. Their entire world has been turned upside down. New place. New people. New routine. They’re scared, confused, and trying to understand why they’ve been left again. Tyra is: - 2 year olds - Belgian/cattle dog mix. - good with kids - good with dogs who have high energy and enjoy playing amongst each other - walks great on a leash - is EXTREMELY sweet and SO affectionate - 45lbs (she’s not a big dog) She’s currently my favorite dog at the shelter and I want nothing more than for her to find a family that’ll just be patient and good to her. Remember Coco? She still has separation anxiety. She used to HOWL when I left. I got one of those anti-bark things and used for a week. Now she just paces. She’s my shadow. And I’ve had her almost 2y. I think she’s hard of hearing. Her world revolves around me being here. I’d never return her.
