These comments are frying me. The poster literally says in the first frame of the video that they know saffron doesn’t have viable seeds and grows from croms. This is like a social experiment about how people just CANNOT contain themselves at an opportunity to correct someone.

NEVER grow mystery seeds. That’s how you end up with invasive and harmful species being introduced to the environment. Don’t throw them in the trash either, either incinerate them or take them you your local Dept of Agriculture for disposal.

someone should figure out what it was and leave it in the comments so we don't have to waste our time. time lapses are cool though

Here in obscure Lake County, CA (north of Napa), we have the largest US grower of saffron, Peace & Plenty Farm. It’s a crocus bulb, and it’s the anthers of the flower that gets harvested.

I once bought lotus seeds from Temu. They were lotus seeds. I wanted more so I ordered again and got two completely different seed packs. One looked just like grape seeds and the other looked like mustard seeds. The grape seed grew into a kind of Roma tomato and the other was microgreens ._.

saffron is the stamen of a crocus flower, it blooms early spring, why it's so expensive, had to be harvested by hand
