@slayover50ugc: I am applying for post retirement Canada pension because of my progressive cognitive decline. The results of the full day of Neuro cognitive testing indicate that I have great difficulty absorbing new information and retaining it. I’ve also lost the ability to manage multitasking projects and keep it straight in my head. Also, my memory is so short that I can’t remember things that I’ve just been told most of the time. #postretirement #cognitivedecline #youngonsetalzheimers #dementiaawareness
Hi Lisa, Lovely to see you. My partner lived with dementia. He said that he felt overwhelmed when he was talking with more than one person at once. He asked family not to visit us all at once. He enjoyed one to one visits.

wow I so relate to this. I struggle with word finding and to make sentences.. and its getting worse. No diagnosis of dementia but many white spots on my brain, failed memory test at FD office but neurolo declined my referral. My FD agreed I probably have to get worse before they accept me. Im 48.

I know exactly how you feel, as I've also been dealing with memory loss and I'm awaiting for my family doctor to refer me to neurology 😢

Keep on Keeping on! Enjoy the longer days of daylight. We will soon find a big difference that way.

I have microangiopathic lesions on my brain (more than expected for my age) and family history of Alzheimers. My cognitive defecits are starting to affect my self esteem but I keep doing my best. Im also on a lot of medication for nerve issues so hopefully thats all it is..
spring forward. fall back. I had to keep saying it outloud to myself to get it straight as well lol.
I so relate to your speech pattern. I feel your struggle. My speech is so choppy this last year.
