@beth_and_coop: “The caption thing” probably has a more official name, tbh. Oh well. This was Coop’s first time using it at a movie and it seemed to be a success. Although it’s hard to believe there isn’t more advanced technology by now.

It's called a Captiview! AMC theaters have opened captioned movies for select viewing times (on the screen). You can search showtimes on their website!
