I once went to a house where on the yard were to small kids and a doberman I had never met. No adults. I said to my companion ”Do we dare to get out of the car? The dog might be protective over the children” (and that would have been quite understandable and acceptable in my opinion, I was also thinking about the boundaries of the dog and not only my own safety). Then I looked at the dog hopping over to our car, tail wagging, clearly happy and relaxed saying ”omg omg omg people, Hi!” So I said ”We do dare” 😁 and got out of the car and were creeted very warmly 😁
