My grandma died in September of 2023 stage 4 terminal bone cancer her doctor told her take Tylenol😞. We were literally looking for meds on the street for her pain I never seen my grandma cry my whole life until cancer. I can still hear her wails in my sleep shame on the gov so many have and are suffering!! She worked all her life to pay them taxes then not long after retirement she ended up with cancer told by the gov no you don’t need pain meds suffer. I bet our politicians and rich get their pain meds tho and they buying children but nobody bats an eye 🤦🏽♀️

Im currently getting my Masters in Clinical Psychology. I wrote an entire research paper about this exact issue for my Psychopharmocology class. It is one of the most unethical things a clinician can do.

If only chronic pain patients weren’t treated like drug addicts. It never made any sense to me that anyone struck an attitude when these medications quite literally exist for people like us.

My doctors just tapered me off tramadol. I’ve got fibromyalgia and have been successfully using it for 20 years. I’m beside myself I don’t know what to do. I’m in so much pain.

Pain management cut me off cold turkey bc I hadn’t taken doses for a few days bc I needed to take my Xanax. They cut me off cold turkey and sent me to the health department for addiction counseling. I did what the dr told me and didn’t mix hydro and Xanax. And we wonder why people turn to street drugs?

Y’all are getting tapered?? Cold turkey after 15 years stable use with no explanation. I 100% followed the rules and never showed “problematic” behaviors. He (Dr) also promised he’d never do this to me.

I have Hashimoto’s RA and Lupus I take so much Advil and Tylenol I’m basically in bed 22 hours of the day it doesn’t work and it’s causing stomach issues I’ve thought about to turning to the street.

💯💯💯…because I can’t find a doctor…my pain is off the charts…and I don’t know how much longer I can hang on..all I see is red every day ..if pain were a color …I’m 62…already have chronic back pain for 40 ys..don’t know if I can do another 20

There should never ever ever be a forced taper or even a doctor suggested taper. it should be the patient’s decision. I just don’t see a valid reason for it.
