I live in East TN very close to Gatlinburg and while it is very beautiful it is 95% a tourist trap. We rented a cabin for our honeymoon. We couldn’t use the screened in balcony bc it was under renovation, the jacuzzi had been neglected to the point that it would’ve had to been drained the debri scraped out, sanitized and refilled, the game house was a shack with a quarter slot pool table….they had to saw some of the sticks in half bc the room was so small that you couldn’t shoot some shots with a full sized pool stick. I honestly wouldn’t have anything to complain about if we hadn’t spent a fortune on the cabin for the 6 days we were there. 3,500 for almost a week doesn’t seem that bad but this was 15 years ago…
