Here I thought reading Assassin’s Blade 4th was the most emotionally devastating. Reading it as a “flashback” absolutely broke me.

As someone who read assassin’s grade 1st, I will always think it was the correct choice. I read for pleasure and maximum emotional damage. If I already knew what happened at the end of assassin’s Blade it would’ve been the most boring book for me.

I recommend not reading assassins blade first. It dampened the series for me because in my opinion it’s quite boring when you don’t know the characters. I felt no attachment to them. Just my opinion!

Yes! Assassin's Blade first is the only way for me! I would not have been as emotionally invested starting with TOG. Not to mention I would not have liked Celaena and the spoilers would have ruined it for me. I like things chronological when possible.
