the best way to undertand this is by imagine that u have something that u can stretch like a dough or rubber ball which has an initial volume and surface area. Now, if u stretch the dough, the surface area increasing but the volume still the same. now what happen if u stretch the dough infinitely long at one end? the volume is the same but the surface area converge to infinity. of course you cant make this in real world using dough but this example makes sense to me
