Well my son went to uni, studied film and tv production and has worked on Apple TV and Netflix productions. Without that course and the contacts made he wouldn’t have broken in.

I started my business as a yoga teacher as I love working with people and move my body. Lasted 5 years, pandemic killed my business and I struggled to pay bills. Found the working for yourself there is no time off, paid holiday or sick pays.

Because uni students pick courses that are convenient for them, not realistic. Some will study media studies and then end up working in Sainsburys for the foreseeable future. We need to promote picking realistic courses, ones that are needed in the real world where careers are obtainable
