Teachers may not always have time to call and say thank you… but trust me — we notice. We notice the parent who emails first instead of escalating. Who asks, “How can we work together?” Who tries strategies at home. Who assumes we’re on the same team. That kind of partnership changes everything for kids. And I also understand why parents advocate. When it’s your child, of course you want answers and support. Sometimes communication breaks down — even when everyone involved cares deeply. But when parents and teachers approach each other with curiosity instead of defensiveness…kids win.
