15-Minute Frozen Pea Soup (My Weekly Go-To) This is the soup I make when I need something fast, comforting, and satisfying. I’m not even much of a pea soup lover, but this one is on weekly rotation in my house. Swapping dried peas for frozen peas completely changed pea soup for me. It’s quicker, brighter, and honestly better. Core Ingredients * 1 (16-ounce) package petite frozen peas (I prefer petite peas—they’re sweeter and more tender) * 1 onion, chopped * 4–5 garlic cloves, chopped * 1 bunch cilantro, chopped (parsley works too) Pantry Staples * 3 tablespoons olive oil * 1 teaspoon black pepper * ½ teaspoon turmeric powder * About 8 cups water * 3 tablespoons consommé or broth of choice Instructions 1. Sauté the aromatics
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Chop the onion and garlic (I use my favorite kitchen gadget that does it in seconds) and add them to the pot. Cook until the onions are soft and translucent. 2. Build the soup
Add the frozen peas, black pepper, turmeric, water, and consommé (or broth). Stir to combine. 3. Bring to a boil
Leave the pot uncovered and bring the soup to a boil. While you’re waiting, chop the cilantro. 4. Blend to your liking
Once the soup is boiling, use an immersion blender or potato masher to blend. I like mine slightly chunky, not too creamy, so I blend for about 30 seconds. If you prefer it smooth, blend longer. 5. Finish and serve
Stir in the chopped cilantro and serve immediately. Notes * This soup gets better day after day, if it lasts that long. * It’s filling, comforting, and incredibly easy to keep on hand. * Perfect for busy nights, meal prep, or when you just need something warm and satisfying—fast. #sivanskitchen #fyp #soup #EasyRecipe
