Manufactures don’t like backprobing and they tell you not to backprobe sealed terminals. Get the correct front probe, backprobe only if you need the circuit closed and the terminals aren’t sealed

Funny you’re trying tell other techs what not to do, and the first thing you thought to do was check power at the fan switch. When all you have to do is turn the key and you’ll hear it engage, yes have to have air in system. Other then that the main issue is most likely an a/c issue.
