What I looove about Eric is how in s1 he is definitely an antagonist but as the seasons go on you see how Eric is not even close to being a villain. Especially compared to the real villains as the show goes on. It is so fitting that he ultimately partnered with Harper in s4 because they just loved their jobs lol.
