Desperate Mother Donkey Knocks on Door to Save Her Frozen Baby 🐴❄️ A dramatic and emotional rescue was captured on home security and phone footage during a record-breaking blizzard in a quiet suburban neighborhood. The video shows a distressed mother donkey approaching a sliding glass door and repeatedly pawing at the glass while maintaining intense eye contact with the homeowner. In her mouth, she carried her newborn foal, which appeared to be suffering from severe hypothermia—its small pink body encased in a thick layer of ice with icicles hanging from its fur. Moved by the unusual and urgent behavior, the homeowner quickly opened the door, allowing the donkey and her baby to enter the warmth of the living room. The footage then documents the careful recovery effort, as the family gently used warm blankets and hair dryers to melt the frozen layer surrounding the foal. Throughout the process, the mother donkey remained calm and watchful, standing close to her baby as it slowly regained warmth. Wildlife observers describe the moment as a remarkable example of an animal seeking shelter near humans during extreme weather conditions. The scene highlights the powerful instincts of animal parents and the compassion shown by people when animals face life-threatening circumstances.
