yes. businesses exist to satisfy consumer demand and make money; employing people is a means to those ends. and there's nothing wrong with that.

Every employee I ever had, all took home more money than me. I also encouraged my young employees to buy homes.

Small business owners maybe, not corporations. Businesses don’t exist to create jobs, they exist to provide products and services to profit. There is nothing wrong with that as long as you are being ethical and socially responsible, which corporations stopped doing a long time ago (1980s). I have an MBA and run multi million dollar businesses so I have a dog in the fight with this argument. I usually like you commentary, but it seems you are attacking the working class more and more to prop up business owners like their some kind of super hero’s. Businesses aren’t successful bc of hard work or intention. You can do everything right in business and still fail. Businesses depend on timing, the economy, and luck to be successful just as much as hard work, creativity, and innovation. Even businesses to supply crucial needs or solve a problem, still fail. Usually bc of outside forces that business owners cannot control. And businesses will cut workers in a heartbeat to make profit or stay alive. Business owners are loyal to their employees to an extent. They are more loyal to their businesses than they are to their employees.

small business and corporate greed are two different things my friend I have a CDL and I 100% stay loyal to a small "mom and pop" business than major carriers that may pay a little more but when I NEED home time I ALWAYS get it I've taken 8 month leave when my wife started having seizures every other day seeing specialist keeping them in the loop finally got her meds down to a t and went back to work no questions asked back in my same truck they even helped me with some out of pocket costs and personal expenses

As a forklift mechanic I’ve never had anyone ask for more from me and complain about costs more than small business owners.

This is so true! Often times as a business owner you are doing the work of 5 to 6 full-time positions and then you have some people that complain that they had to do dishes or mop the floor once a week saying they don’t get paid enough for that. 😂

Bullshit. Ford V Dodge explicitly states that this is incorrect. Hell, Howard Shultz was almost ousted from Starbucks even with record profits just because he wanted to give the workers health insurance. It may have some validity with small businesses but broadly this is a bs argument
