As a dental assistant use an ortho pacifier … it’s specially designed to avoid issues with the pallet at this point it’s to late to stop him using the thumb because he has found comfort in it

honestly shocked at these comments, thumb sucking is a way of self soothing a he’s so content clearly! he’s so so little. So long as he’s not still sucking his thumb by about 3 years of age, his teeth shouldn’t be affected at all because his baby teeth will shift back on their own

Your baby is learning to self soothe. This is normal. This is no different than have a pacifier in their mouth.

I gave my babies pacifier specifically, so they would not suck their thumb. You can take away a pacifier, you can never take away a thumb.
