The problem is that you’re trying to explain it with words. And words—our language—are what create a barrier to that understanding. That’s actually what integration is all about: translating that experience into words, into thoughts. It makes more sense to you when you’re under the influence, because that’s when words lose their meaning. That’s also why people in a DMT state communicate telepathically. Our brain breaks everything down, categorizes it, filters it; language pigeonholes it into thoughts; our brain creates boundaries between objects, boundaries between the world around us and our self. In other words, our brain divides it. Psychedelics, on the other hand, help us connect things, and that’s why we arrive at various realizations—because thoughts that have lost their boundaries can now come together. That’s also why people feel a sense of unity. But it’s not about understanding it; it’s about finding some insight there and translating it into our lives—in other words, integrating it. That is our task. When we drive a car, our task isn’t to know every last screw in the car and understand exactly how it works.

Wow, thats a lot of words for explaining reality is based on beliefs. Beliefs create perception and perception constantly changes because of variables and new conclusions. That would be the short version I guess.
