kids are smart, they just are born now knowing this system is slavery. I don't blame them. I saw it that way too. ADHD here, and children aren't robots, soldiers, or whatever this paradigm insist they be.

I mean, the shows and games give out pretty high quantities of dopamine, so you can hyperfocus on things that give you the dopamine dumps, but if it doesn’t, then you can’t even force yourself to focus

I have ADHD and I would say that it's an issue of lacking appropriate filters. You take in too much info and it gets hard to sort it out and remember the small stuff Society has decided are important. Your interests chooses what to remember since it's often tied to a pleasent, imprinting feeling...

You are definitely right that there is a huge problem with electronics taking the place of vast interest. However, I am a Gen X female and was diagnosed with ADHD in 1979. I know exactly what it is and what it does. And I know there are a lot of children legitimately Played with this. Having this disorder makes binge watching highly appealing. So you have it backwards. But, you are correct in that we need to remove the temptation and force the kids into a vast array of activities which is exactly what I have done with mychildren

As someone with ADHD, it is not an interest deficit. Working on one thing for hours on end is called hyper focus. This is a real diagnosis.
