more then likely magnetic base that when you put the top on lifts the box to the top so you slide the sword thru the hole on side of clear box then when you lift the cover off you hold downward pressure on the sword to separate the magnet

when he put that cover on top of the clear box, it opens up the box and pushes the ring up to where it’s in right spot so when he slid the sword in it goes through the ring and then it brings the ring down and the door closes and it looks like the sword went through the box when it didn’t
