@consulting.connoisseur: Here’s the difference 👇 1️⃣ How you enter meetings ❌ “Hey, I’m just here to listen.” ✅ “I pulled 3 numbers / assumptions before this meeting that might help us decide faster - want me to share them?” One line moves you from extra body → value add. 2️⃣ How you handle unclear tasks ❌ Wait 3 days, then say “I was confused so I didn’t start.” ✅ Day 1: “Here’s my understanding in 3 bullets. Am I missing anything?” Being early and slightly wrong beats being late and silent. 3️⃣ How you talk about your work ❌ “I updated the deck / model.” ✅ “I reorganized the materials so the story flows from problem → options → recommendation. Do we want to adjust anything before it’s shared?” You don’t just do tasks. You think about how decisions get made. 4️⃣ How you react to feedback ❌ “Okay, got it.” (low energy) ✅ “That’s really helpful, I’ll fix this and send a before/after so you can see the changes.” You turn feedback into proof you can improve fast. 5️⃣ What people say when you’re not in the room ❌ “Yeah, they were fine.” ✅ “They made my life easier. If we have headcount, we should keep them.” Your goal isn’t perfection.
