so we damaged the clear coat to remove the scratch, then we used a polish compound to add a temporary gloss coating. When the compound eventually comes off, will you still not be left with damaged clear coat????

Omg the amount of people thinking the clear coat is ruined have no idea. If you think 1000 grit or higher is ripping through your clear coat, you either own a Ford or have no idea what you’re talking about.
