I fought woth my daughters ENT for 2 years with 75% obstructive and 2 sleep studies to remove her tonsils. It is so hard to get proper medical help.

Is this child's swelling/BMI potentiality related?

I used to have to hold my daughter up in my arms for her to get good air at night. At 2 both adenoids and tonsils came out and she was fine until adenoids grew back and she had to have the surgery again in high school!

My son had to literally stop breathing and rushed to emergency dept. To finally get a Dr. to listen to me about his sleep apnea. He is now almost 27! Advocating for your child is so important.

My youngest son had this. His adenoids were so huge he had to have them out when he was about 3 maybe 4. He would stop breathing they were so big. it was over 25 years ago so I can't remember his exact age.

My oldest had obstructive and central sleep apnea. I’m very relieved that he out grew it. His obstructive sleep apnea was due to his hypotonia. During sleep the muscles around his lungs weren’t moving enough. We also had to do an mri for the central sleep apnea

in little kids they may not look tired. they may instead wind up/become hyper active to avoid falling asleep. Also if they are dropping on their growth chart that can also be due to OSA
