I line the bottom of mine with one layer of water bottles. They freeze and then if the power goes out i have ice packs to hopefully hold me over.

they dont do anything except make it so you have to move all the baskets instead of the food.. and you lose a bunch of room. my deep freezer came with some and I had to take them out to fit more stuff

I use my deep freezer for meat/chicken/turkeys/hams only. Any bagged freezer food goes in my fridges freezer.

I have a freezer like this for years. My freezer is very organized and I don’t need these baskets. Even with these baskets, the mess is in the baskets and you still don't know what's in the freezer.
