My Favourite Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪✨ I have been making these for many years. Chewy, crispy cookie perfection. There are a few key tips for this recipe which I’ve outlined in the method. The perfect treat to leave out for Santa on Christmas Eve 👀🎅 Full recipe below, tag who would love these & don’t forget to save for the 24th of December ❤️ Top tip - you can freeze the dough easily ahead of time. Portion out as normal & freeze, then pop into ziploc bags. You can bake from frozen but add 2-3 minutes cooking time. Otherwise take them out the night before & thaw in the fridge, baking as normal. Makes 12 large cookies 280g plain flour 1/4 tsp salt 2 tsp cornflour 1 flat tsp bicarbonate soda 200g light brown sugar 100g caster sugar 1 medium egg 200g butter 2 tsp vanilla extract 250g chopped up milk chocolate chunks Melt the butter in the microwave until just melted, leave to cool slightly. Add the sugar to the melted butter and whisk. Add the vanilla and egg and whisk again. Add the flour & sieve in the bicarbonate soda/cornflour so there is no lumps, & mix. If the dough is warm let it cool for 5 minutes, then add the chocolate chips. Scoop in to large ice cream scoop sized balls and place on a cling film/parchment lined plate. Cover & Let chill in the fridge for 1 - 2 hours, or in the freezer for 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius fan. Pop the chilled dough balls to a baking paper lined tray. Allow for a lot of space in between these as they spread a lot, I normally bake 3-4 at a time and freeze the rest. Bake for approx 10-13 minutes, banging the air out half way through cooking on a hard surface. (10 mins will be gooey, 13 will be more set cookies) Let cool & enjoy. I like to freeze the remaining dough balls in a ziploc bag. You can bake straight from frozen, adding 2-3 minutes on to baking time. Will keep perfectly frozen for up to 3 months. #cookies #santa #EasyRecipe #baking #christmas
