@thepauseaffect: Most women think perimenopause starts in their mid-40s or later… BUT for some of us it begins MUCH earlier. Why? Because hormones don’t exist in isolation. They respond to nervous system load, stress exposure, and genetics over time. Things that can contribute to earlier hormonal shifts include: 1️⃣ Neurodivergence: our nervous systems run “hot” and carry higher baseline stress 2️⃣ Childhood trauma: programs the body for survival mode causing early nervous system conditioning and accelerates hormonal wear and tear. 3️⃣ Chronic high-stress: years of high-achievement = high-stress adaptation and constant cortisol output which affects ovarian signaling. 4️⃣ Genetics: some women are simply wired or predisposed to begin the menopause transition earlier. (10 years before menopause) For me, it was the perfect storm of all four (which is why I went into perimenopause at 32.) Understanding the why behind your symptoms is the first step toward supporting your hormones in a way that actually works. Tips: 👉🏻 Lower daily stress load where possible 👉🏻 Support blood sugar stability with consistent meals 👉🏻 Prioritize nervous system regulation like it’s health care (because it is) 💕Join our community, The Pause Collective, for weekly support 💕 #ThePauseAffect #NotYourMamasMenopause #EarlyPerimenopause #HormoneHealth #PerimenopauseSymptoms
What about having a baby later in life. I swear having my kid at 38 pushed me into it

I was in full blown menopause at 42! Honestly had no clue why my monthly stopped thought something was wrong! Knew I wasn’t pregnant. Dr told me I was in it. I was like what!!!?? I seriously feel like stress caused me to start early!
