Do you find any difficulty with contractors reading your annotations? I noticed your section annotation differs from convention and I’m curious if you get any feedback from that

Where we work as contractors we are finding it increasingly more that the drawings coming to us deliberately miss the sections/details where you really need the information. Is this something the architect is doing for some particular reason or is it the client not budgeting enough money for this to be done correctly? I think in the long run it would work out better for everyone if more time/money was spent at the front end of the project getting issues like this sorted

The answer is they don’t. The detail are trash! Ask any truss, floor and wall designer anywhere in the world. The architects charge a fortune and the detailing is trash! Charge a fortune and offer nothing but headaches. Prove me wrong! You can’t. It’s a pretty picture with f all understanding.
