Suno's legal issue is with RIAA, not end users. If you're transparent with clients about AI use and document your workflow, you're not automatically liable. "Could get sued" applies to literally anything in commercial music. This is fear content, not legal advice.

if you use Suno for the whole creation yes you'll get sued but I've been looking into it and if you write the lyrics and arrangements of vocals you can use it, this is what I've been told.

“AI music” is such an imprecise term. AI is one of many tools in my set. Suno is but one small part of my work flow and it can be used for a lot more than just prompting. My uploaded melodies from my keyboard, my lyrics, my bass voice, my computers, synthesizers, Yamaha keyboard, guitar, piano, DAW, Fadr, RipX, GarageBand, Logic Pro, OMS, Sora, etc are all tools I use. I even use my car engine, tractor engine and bamboo sticks as part of my music. 😁 Once I am done I run it through eMastered to get my final WAV file. I don’t say my chopstick music. I don’t say my RipX music. It is just music.

If you are going to use Suno. Get the stems from your instrumental track and turn them into midi files to use in your DAW so you can start over with some structure 😏👍 don’t get caught up lying about your creativity!!

The only time you cannot copyright it You cannot claim full copyright if: - the beat is not yours - the lyrics or melody are copied from someone else - the AI generated major parts of the song without your creative input - you used copyrighted material you don’t own But in your case, you said everything is yours — voice, beat, lyrics, recording — so you’re safe.

Then here’s what they can do. They can work with nobody. Because guess what? We have all been using AI in the music world since some people were born because it didn’t just come out yesterday or last year or even five years ago. There have been elements of it forever. Who draws the line and where? Must you have made your own instruments? People are getting ridiculous. If there is a line, somebody please state where it is. And then, demonstrate exactly how it will be proven that somebody crossed it.
