*Just a heads-up for travelers: I’ve noticed Apple Pay is still hit-or-miss and mostly only works at major chains. Samsung Pay works everywhere because it’s the local standard 😊

Most cafes, department stores and some independent stores will accept google or Apple Pay but, majority of places require you to insert a physical card. I would highly recommend getting a physical travel debit card on top of your digital one (Wise worked great for me!). An example of where they only accept physical cards is if you’re planning on taking the airport limo into Seoul. Also, only cash is accepted when loading a climate card or when topping up the tmoney card.
