I can relate to this so much, it feels like I have typed it each slide. I am a year into my renovation and within the next few weeks we should be in. It’s been a physical and mental journey, but I am so proud of us!

living in 1 room doing a 5 bedroom house mostly by myself. takes graft and dedication for sure, i started early November, im 4 months in an maybe a month or so to finish, I think 😂 😮💨

It’s makes you a perfectionist too and you’ll likely do a better job than many tradesmen because you have a personal interest in it. It’ll take you much longer than them but you’ll have saved money and learned something

I was 5 days a week strict gym routine, strict calrie diet. food prepping my whole week on a sunday. Then the renovation turned it on its head. fully in or fully out for me. I decided going to the gym 5 times a week was fun but if i cared morr about looking good than securing my future then something wasn't right

I feel this, we're in the house now after a year and a half of pure over and back reno, every spare hour, everything but electrics and the major plumbing works - we did ourselves. its amazing to be able to confidently say, yeah we did that. it's so worth it. we still have infinite things to do (decided to buy a neglected cottage with outbuildings and 3/4 acre field) but we'll all get there!
