@memphisjonez: Day 5 & 6 – Water Fast Update 💧🌴 Hey everyone, quick catch-up from Tulum. Day 5 was tough. Body ached, felt miserable, zero motivation. Didn’t even want to touch my phone. Full blah mode. Upped minerals (extra magnesium, potassium, Organika, salt) and sipped coconut water for quick relief. Technically broke strict rules, but it helped. Woke up Day 6 feeling totally different. Energized the moment my eyes opened, clear-headed, ready to move. Hit the ground running with a walk and aiming for 10 to 15k steps today. Reflecting: last month’s vacation mode made me lose sight of who I am. This fast reminds me I’m the guy who does hard things, pushes through, and comes out stronger. Benefits are crushing the cons: inflammation down, body lighter, no brain fog, mind clear, feeling like myself again. Science snapshot (even with the coconut water break): By days 5 to 6, ketosis is deep. Fat is primary fuel, ketones high. Autophagy peaks for cellular repair, inflammation drops, insulin sensitivity improves, growth hormone rises to preserve muscle. Many hit a second wind here: energy rebounds, clarity sharpens. The small coconut water (about 20 to 30g carbs) caused a brief insulin bump and temporary pause in peak ketosis/autophagy, but at that low amount it didn’t fully exit ketosis. Rebounded fast once back to water plus electrolytes. Benefits like fat-burning and reduced inflammation kept going. One day at a time. Thanks for following.
