It’s not a think, they DO suppress your views because they want you to pay for promotion. Big creators went from 200k views to barely 10k views on recent videos. A lot of big creators has spoken about this. It all happened within 6 months. It’s not the content it’s the reach

As a small creator this is exactly what it feels like. My videos stay on low views, but Tiktok is quick to send a "Promote this post" message. So the platform clearly sees potential in the content... yet it doesn't get shown to enough people. I've even tested using similar hooks, formats and hashtags as successful creators, and the reach still doesn't change. At some point it really starts to feel like views are being controlled to push creators toward paid promotion.

I used to get thousands to tens of thousands of organic views. Occasionally 95k, 165k, 283k… Then TikTok changed something and it dropped to a few hundred.

If someone has 10,000 followers but consistently gets 200 views it would seem obvious that TikTok is not pushing their videos even to their followers. This seems like manipulation.

I disagree. But good luck to those who pay. I have never paid a penny to any platform, and still get millions of views on Meta. Same exact high quality content, that I work very hard creating every day. Tiktok is just no longer a good platform for quality creators.

BS. my friend used promote for sales. idk how much she paid but she didn't get ONE SALE from using that feature. she didn't get one sale from buying that "feature". she got a few more views but no sales.

This video is Paid for by TikTok. Even videos that check all the engagement boxes, strong likes, comments, shares, watch time etc may still only get a couple thousand views. These same videos go viral on other platforms. TikTok clearly suppresses views to force you to promote.

The only things that TikTok promotes are stupid videos, the more stupid the video the more they push, I’m a music creator, I make electronic music, my content never gets push to the right audience unless I pay them. Not a fair game

Hard to know what "better content" is, when it pops off randomly. I post the same video to YouTube, IG, Tiktok, and it will sometimes do wildly better or worse on either of the platforms, no obvious reason. The next video will be flip flopped with opposite results. If an actual formula worked, I'd keep using it.
