Once the deportation decision was made, he should have been put on a plane with or without his family. Keeping him here while he appealed and refused to cooperate with questions adds stess to the families and the tax payers paying for court time.

Retired driver here. My heart aches for all the families involved. IMO this driver is the symptom of the real problem. Canada has been bringing in foreign drivers for decades to relieve the “driver shortage” problem. We have decided as a society that we’d rather have cheaper products on our shelves than safe highways.
