I had this done when i was 12. Then braces. They came off at 16 and by 19 my teeth were falling apart.

dental assistant here. my understanding is that palette expansion in adults causes excessive boneless that often ends in loss of dention. it's great that your breathing better as long as you are aware of the trade off you are making. I recommend you seek a second opinion.

I have eds and sleep apnea too . I had palate expanded when I was a kid. I think my soft tissue collapses. I have no tonsils or uvula. Do you know how we find out if we would need the double jaw surgery and what doctor would know that?

This is incredible. You had a beautiful before smile but you can tell that your mouth was narrow, though it wasn’t noticeable at all without seeing where you’re at now. Your face shape is already changing a lot! The after is going to be mind blowing.
