I like Danny Ketch, but the whole situation involving him and Johnny is a bit more complex than that: practically *every* Ghost Rider in the comics has the Penance Stare and the chains—it was a *really* good concept, and since Danny was no longer Ghost Rider II, it couldn't just go to waste (something similar happened with Clayface at DC, and it turned out great). Plus, the character wasn't really working after the 90s; his writing had been ruined by turning him into a power-hungry addict (and Danny Ketch has died multiple times, too). The design issue is tricky—this happens often with other characters in comics—and nowadays Johnny has his own style with the spiked jacket. I like Ketch and his conversations in Brooklyn, but in half the action scenes, it was actually Noble Kale—not Danny himself—who was the real star.
