Stop moving that fking back… 1) you lean back 2) set the scapula 3) shoulder down 4) legs rigid and solid for stability 5) pull with the elbows and stop when they are aligned with your lata 6) thumb that follows the other finger not the standard grip

external rotation of the humerus (Upper arm) which engages the lats better. This is because the lats, specifically the upper, are connected to the humerus and not iust the back. Doing this is also known as "breaking the bar" during pull up.
