Your Excellency First Lady Fatima Maada Bio,
I greet you with respect and hope. I am writing to you with a heavy heart to humbly plead for the release of my cousin, Zainab Sheriff.
Zainab is a daughter of Sierra Leone, a woman who has used her voice to express her views and contribute to national conversations. I am deeply concerned about her wellbeing and the circumstances surrounding her detention. Many Sierra Leoneans, both at home and abroad, are increasingly worried about the shrinking space for freedom of expression in our beloved country. Sierra Leone has long been known for its resilience, its democracy, and its commitment to human rights. It pains me to see fear growing where dialogue should thrive.
Your Excellency, I appeal to your compassion, your influence, and your commitment to justice. I ask that you kindly intervene so that Zainab may be released and reunited with her family. This act of mercy would not only bring relief to those who love her, but also reaffirm the values of fairness and dignity that Sierra Leone stands for.
Thank you for taking the time to hear this plea. I trust in your leadership and your ability to promote peace, unity, and understanding.
