@emilyontoast: CHOCOLATE RAISIN CRUNCHY CHICKPEA CLUSTERS 🍫 I was genuinely surprised that I could make such an amazing snack from chickpeas. Inspired by fruit and nut chocolate, these crunchy clusters are a healthy, low sugar treat that genuinely taste glorious, and have a satisfying crunch (I’ve nailed the crispy chickpeas now!). Honestly, I’m not normally one for healthily sweet treats because as I find they don’t satisfy me then I end up eating the chocolate/biscuits I wanted anyway, but these really do hit the spot. I used a good quality dark chocolate to keep them low sugar, then added raisins for a hint of sweetness and a soft, chewy contrast to the crispy chickpeas. They are also dairy free/gluten free/ vegan/ plant based/ egg free so suit all dietaries. I made them! My chickpeas didnt go crisp enough so were a little chewy BUT my son loved them and thought they tasted like ‘chocolate humous’

Hold on a second. Is this what I think it is? Is this a, is this a sweet treat? Because it looks like a sweet treat and it smells like a sweet treat. So I’m going to try it and just see if it a sweet treat. It is! I knew it! It was a sweet treat the whole time! I knew it was a sweet treat. It is a great sweet treat too.

Tried these tonight. They are gorgeous. I added chopped walnuts and sunflower seeds too for more protein. I'd like to find a lower calorie substitute for the chocolate however. Really nice receipe thanks so much ❤️

Now if you mix it with some tahini paste, I wonder if it would taste even better?

do you use chickpeas from a can or fresh ones that you have soaked overnight? i feel that may give a difference in crunch
