I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but paying a monthly subscription and not being able to fully use it is like paying for Netflix and, after watching two movies, being told you can’t watch anything else because you’ve reached a limit.

Mmm this is the only thing that keeps me away from Claude. I use ChatGPT INTENSIVELY and never have I reached the limit. I know Claude is great and all, but I don’t want to be thinking about where my limit will be reached.

Claude usage limit is ridiculous. I can understand it for the top model, free version. But it should regress to the other models for more usage after you hit your limit on the free version. But to have a usage limit on the PAID version with additional usage pricing. Nah. That’s just greedy. Especially when you have other options out there to use.

Claude definitely teaches us how to use AI, helping build data models for ourselves to pull from, however, for daily use ChatGPT is best for chitchatting with AI. Claude is the 9-5, ChatGPT is grabbing some drinks with some friends after work. Both have value, but one is far simpler and the other can be exhausting

Pro tip: ask claude to generate a session handoff doc to carry over only the important streamlined info to a new chat. Ask claude to prompt the handoff when a milestone is completed or when a context window is nearly full then ask Claude to commit that to memory. Also use /compact after multiple long text strings.

My strategy is to be selective. I use Claude for deep, technical work or high-level problems. I use gemini for everything else, brainstorming, document prep, summaries, etc. For transparency, I do pay for both but still find using specific llms for specific tasks to be a good strat.

On usage limits, Claude code will basically summarize, or what they call compact, the chat so the AI has and understanding of it without resending the previous messages with the current one.

Claude needs to fix this cause it’s bullshit. It literally has locked me out of two of my conversations with no whatsoever and now I can’t go back and get Claude to summarize that chat so that I can move it over to the new conversation. This is the one thing I do not like bongo is that it doesn’t give you any warning. It just literally says conversation too long and you are literally locked out of it.

Claude doesn't reference anything even if it's in the Same project. It can barely reference the same chat thread let alone project. The usage limits are ridiculous too
