Designer here building my own dream home🙋🏼♀️if you already have plans or even are thinking about future additions or garages, PLAN NOW. We know we will be adding a garage in our 5-10 year plan so we ensured that the extra land was cleared while clearing for the house, no septic was run on the garage side, no windows on that side of the house EXCEPT, our upstairs room that is next to the future garage has 1 4’ window that will be taken out and made into the hallway to the addition. We also had our electrician split the can lights in that room so it can easily be closed in and separated without having to redo brand new rooms !

Porch speakers is on my list as well. Also adding soffit plugs for the holidays. And replanting where the Christmas tree will go so outlets are sufficient.

in the closet, you can add water and electrical for these all in one washer and dryers that don't need vents. I can see each closet have this now.

Are you going to talk about switches? Presumably this also came up with the electrician. Smart switches and dimmers can span multiple videos on their own.

All gr8 things. Also upgrade to 30a minimum circuit (yellow wire) everywhere. No more lights dimming when the hair dryer, iron or stereo amp comes on. Takes No additional labor. Just a wire upgrade. Electricians will fight you, trust me – do it.
