@jumpingwithivy: Sadly, there’s no Hickstead ticket for these two this year, but that’s okay. Watching how far they’ve come in just nine months has been lovely to see. Arlo has always needed a brave, solid rider to compete him. He’s long been known as a rearer, and that label has followed him everywhere. But there’s always hope. Six months ago, rearing was almost a daily occurrence. You’d genuinely worry about what he might do next. Yet today, he hasn’t reared for 6 months. patience, belief, and an incredible partnership with Ivy has helped this. We believed in him from day one. But most importantly, Ivy did. She loves this pony beyond words, and he knows it. Over the last four top-track Hickstead Qualifiers, Arlo has given Ivy absolutely everything finishing in the top 10 three times and jumping his heart out every single round. And here’s the best part… This proves you don’t need a huge budget to compete at a high level of this sport. Our £1,250 coloured cob has taken Ivy around some of the biggest tracks and given her experiences that would normally cost twenty times that at least. He might not have the Hickstead ticket this year, but what he’s given her is worth far more. So what’s next? HOYS qualifiers start in May.
