@thelibertypirate: A lot of former MAGA supporters are starting to walk away from Trump. I’ll be honest. I voted for him in 2016. I realized pretty quickly that I made a mistake. That makes me curious about something. If someone leaves MAGA… how much grace should they get? Where’s the line for you? #Democrats #maga #formerrepublican #veteransagainstfacism #politicstok
in 2016, yea sure. in 2026. nope. if youre a 3 time voter. nope. you knew. you just didnt think it would happen to you.

I want to have grace but it makes me upset that I tried to tell them soooooo many times!! I was told I was fear mongering that I just hated trump.

I am willing to meet them with blunt education. I will not trust them until their voting reflects the change. I will happily engage in educating them on policy and candidates and how those things affect them and deconstruct what the previously thought. I have a purple heart next to my name to signify that I will kindly educate if they are genuinely asking. I also will not keep shooting (blasting them with hate) if the are waving a white flag while coming out of the cult. Doesn’t mean I will let them integrate into my world (society) until they prove they have taken accountability and learned.

The problem seems to be are those who are only turning because they things are just now affecting them. They feel no remorse over all the other people that were targeted, or worse, still want them targeted. They seem to be the loudest about being forgiven.

The problem isn’t what they believe. The question is what are their values?

Pottery Barn Rule: you break it, you own it. They must ho above and beyond to fix this disaster they caused. They should get out there like MTG and speak truth to power. They must get heavily involved in turning this shit around.

If its genuine, if there's no hesitation in their distane for him now, then I'm willing to forgive. My question is what are you doing to resist the regime now?

Level 1 I forgave. Level 3 and 4 can f all the way off. There's no "I'm sorry" that will fix what happened to Rene Goode and Alex Pretti. They can't put the families back together who were torn apart, and the women and girls who have been unalived or forced to have babies of SA... so no, they get NO forgiveness from me, but maybe God will understand.

I guess for me is largely depends on what finally made them see the truth, and how many of the horrible views that they still believe.

As much grace as a multiple time drug addict. I’ll never trust them. But I’ll do my best to help them rebuild and give them room. But they have years of doing the right thing to gain any empathy and trust.

as someone who stopped supporting Trump a year ago and now i consider myself independent and will be voting against him in the midterms, but i still think me and the other voters who voted for him in 2024 deserve to be held accountable for our actions because we made a mistake and need to learn from our mistakes.

I accept anyone who was a former Trump voter. And thrilled to see people grow and develop intellectually with the experience they have gained in the last year and a bit.
