#stitch with @earnwithava Sometimes you have to be selective in who you choose to be petty with in real life or on the internet - hear me out. I was harassed by someone for 19 months on social media back in 2019 + it felt like trash. Initially people cared until it got old for them. In hindsight, I realize the best step was to document, evaluate, get legal professional help and when necessary, don't be afraid to talk out my feelings to a licensed professional. Her ridiculous antics led me to extreme anxiety despite finding ways to function, learning how to be in large social environments + community events (i.e. running groups), trust issues, self h_rm, disassociation/paranoia, #cptsd + a sleuth of other online f*ckers targeting me from her b/s. I gave it some time + revisited it to raise awareness AFTER seeing professional help. Unfortunately law enforcement + laws in the US are not as great to protect people from harassment. If you can, see what legal measures can be done in your situation. Sometimes online communities add fire, not remedy them. And if the person is a serial offender, you might be able to work with other victims. I'll never say be silent or allow people to gaslight your situation. Simply, be selective in who and how to respond to people. Some people need a swift eff off, some can be ignored + others might require extra prevention tactics. Protect your peace; know it's not your fault. #antibullying #MentalHealth #anxietytok #itgetsbetter #protectyourself #socialmedia #protectyourpeace #cptsdawareness
