i was flying out of florida back to my home state once and an airport security dog bolted towards me with his tail wagging and tongue hanging out. the handler just sighed really heavily and told me he wanted to play😭

We met one at the airport with my service dog and their team was thinking she was on a scent - turns out she just wanted to meet and play with my service dog that was under my bench. 😅 Her handler/trainer was mortified.

We had one like this at the San Antonio airport and it was hysterical. Smelled all the bags then ran back around for pets. People were nervous to pet so she just got all up in the people until they would pet. Went to every. single. person. in the waiting area.

When I was like 5 a sniffer dog alerted to a bagel in my backpack and the handler was in tears bc it wasn’t a new sniffer dog or anything just a beagle that really wanted my bagel

Once my husband and i were in line for security and a drug dog flagged him and his carryon. He had nothing but food like granola bars, cereal, oatmeal packets, jerky, etc. the dog just flagged his food haha

Working dogs get breaks too lol. We had a service dog for my mom when she was still able to walk on her own and she was the goofiest doc when she wasn't "working" I would tell people (as she ran into a wall chasing a ball) "I swear, she's super smart!"
