We had *just* gotten a new truck. We were loading our slide in truck camper. I was spotting my husband while he backed in. I indicated he could back up and he backed right into one of the jacks scraping the brand new truck. I always joked he loved that truck more than me (joking obvs). I asked him later if he was mad and he just said “it was an accident sweetie”.

i backed my husbands truck into a trailer we had just hooked up onto my suv. it was in front of a contracter who was there to pour rocks on my in-laws drive way. my face was so red and my eyes immediately filled with tears. he laughed it off and said "its okay baby!" he then inflated a basketball underneath it to fix the dent. i still cringe when i think about it. but he thinks its hilariously adorable. because its the only accident ive ever been in (knock on wood)

My dad did this with my car but it was outside the garage and he didn’t realize he was in forward not reverse. My room is above the garage, scared the 💩 out of me and ran to the next room to look out. Didn’t ask about it for days and asked my mom. We never brought it up in front of him. Kind of wanted a sorry bc it was my car but the garage was much worse than my car. My car front and back bumpers r plastic composite, so just a scratch… decent dent in the garage.

My mom lived with me until her death many years ago. One day, I heard my mom come home, but I couldn't find her. When I did, she was in the dining room, sobbing. I was so concerned, because she wasn't a cryer. I asked her what happened and she sobbed out, "I hit the house and you're going to make me stop driving!" She had accidentally hit the garage and knocked off her left side mirror. I looked at the damage, then put my arms around her. She said again, "You're going to make me stop driving." I told her the truth, "I can't make you stop driving because you knocked off the side mirror on your car by hitting the garage, because then I would have to stop driving because I have done it twice." She instantly stopped crying and started laughing. It's one of my best memories of her.
