I make a brilliant conversational partner in these moment bc I have terrible hearing. It would just be me with my head turned so you could talk into my ear and then turning toward you and being way too loud to respond bc I can’t tell how loud I’m being half the time. But we would make it!

I relate to this. While I have apraxia and not a stutter, loud background noises make talking soooooooo much more difficult

Definitely yeah I’m the same it can be hard especially when they might not be able to hear you the first time and you have to say it all again
